Products for the CBD marketplace are evolving, but the three most common forms of cannabidiol currently available are CBD isolate, full-spectrum CBD oil, and broad-spectrum CBD oil.
- CBD isolate is a highly purified form of cannabidiol, which is 99 percent pure, but lacks all the other plant compounds, such as terpenes, flavonoids, fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals present in the whole plant. Since it excludes all the other cannabinoids available, it contains no THC.
- Full-spectrum CBD oil contains cannabidiol, and all the other plant compounds, but it also contains trace amounts of THC, which while very small, can still be detected on drug screening tests.
- Broad-spectrum CBD oil also contains cannabidiol, and all the other plant compounds like full-spectrum CBD oil, but THC is removed. All Calmly products are broad-spectrum.
